According to a Study, Panic Attacks & Anxiety Episodes Are Linked to Vitamin Deficiencies

Anxiety is a common issue for many people around the world. Namely, as per the statistics of WHO – World Health Organization over 260 million people in the world struggle with anxiety disorders, including panic attacks and anxiety episodes.

Lack of vitamin B6 and iron is related to anxiety

Vitamin B6 takes a crucial part in the renewal of red blood cells and in the production of certain hormones like serotonin. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that regulates mood which most patients with anxiety and depression are deficient of it.

Iron is a valuable mineral that provides the oxygen transport to the red blood cells. Plus, it is a part of the structure of many enzymes which are involved in the production of dopamine and norepinephrine. These neurotransmitters regulate the stress in the body by promoting the feeling of pleasure.

As per performedstudy by the Department of Emergency Medicine of Atago Hospital of Japan, low serum vitamin B6 and iron levels are linked to panic attacks and hyperventilation syndrome.

The researchers of this study discovered that patients withpanic disorder and hyperventilation are very low in iron and vitamin B6. Therefore, theybelieve that these deficienciesmaybe the reason for the occurrence of anxiety disorders.
