Delicious Homemade Nutella Recipe Without Oil, Milk & Sugar

The most favorite chocolate cream for many people is Nutella. This cream is adored by children but as well as by adults. Unfortunately, this is not the healthiest breakfast although it is being presented as such.

The intake of processed foods seems to be inevitable, but if there are existing healthy alternatives, then we should try to introduce them into our diet. The Nutella that is on the market contains refined sugar, soy or palm oil, but there is a homemade recipe for this delicious spread cream that not involves the use of the above mentioned ingredients and as well as some harmful chemicals.

The homemade Nutella is made of healthy and natural ingredients like chocolate, hazelnuts, coconut milk and a pinch of salt. The texture of the homemade Nutella is creamy packed with hazelnut and chocolate flavors.

The health benefits of the used ingredients:

  1. Dark chocolate

This type of chocolate is packed with magnesium and antioxidants, which can neutralize the damaging effects of the free radicals that speed up the aging of the cells. If it is consumed on regular basis it can reduce the blood pressure and protect the body from arthritis and rheumatism.

Have in mind that the raw cocoa contains four times higher antioxidant content than that of a roasted cocoa. On the other hand, the roasted cocoa is rich in theobromine increasing the energy levels and offering a euphoric effect coming from the PEA, a molecule known as the hormone of happiness.

Recipe of a Homemade Vegan Nutella

Required ingredients:

  • 70 grams of 70% dark chocolate
  • 125 milliliters of whole coconut milk
  • 210 grams of organic hazelnuts
  • 80 milliliters of honey
  • A quarter teaspoon of fleur de sel

Instructions:

First, preheat the oven at 180 °C, and then on a baking sheet place the hazelnuts, and bake them for 10 minutes. After this period of time take them out of the oven, and leave them to cool off so that you can easily remove their skin. In order to that wrap them with a clean cloth and then start rubbing it in your hands. Once they are peeled put them in a mixer and turn them into powder.

Now, prepare the chocolate by melting it in a saucepan in a bain-marie. Next, add the whole coconut milk and mix them nicely.

In a blender put the hazelnut powder, the chocolate-coconut milk mixture, honey and fleur de sel. Blend until you get a smooth texture that resembles a creamy paste. The resulting creamy mixture place it in a jar, keep it in your fridge and use it for up to two weeks. It is so delicious that it is most likely that you will use it even before these two weeks.
