Garlic Milk Is an Excellent Homemade Remedy Against Sciatica & Back Pain

Low back pain and for that matter other back issues affect millions of people all around the world. The common reason for the occurrence of a back issue is the long sitting hours and as well as physical inactivity.

As a result of low or none physical activity the muscle capacity gets reduced and the ligaments weakened.  You can alleviate this condition if you start to exercise regularly, but you can as well as use a natural solution known as the garlic milk.

Naturally, there are plenty of treatments for low back pain, but for most people they are not effective, in fact the pain is only a little bit reduced, and the root of the problem is not being treated.

Others report that some of the treatments caused more damage than their previous condition. The most common treatments for this issue are: ultrasound, spinal fusion, transcutaneous electrical neurostimulation devices, spinal injections, acupuncture or replacement of the intervertebral discs.

These treatments were removed from the list of recommended care as there is not enough evidence for their effectiveness as per the researchers at the National Institute for Excellence in British Health and Care.

According to Dr. Stuart McGill, professor of biomechanics of the spine at the University of Waterloo, many professional treatments are set up in a unique way. However, these treatments do not take into consideration the individual needs of each patient, and they do not treat the underlying cause of the pain.

Sciatica

Sciatica is a condition that affects the sciatic nerve  which is the longest nerve in the human body starting from the lower back and going down to the to lower foot. This nerve is commonly being affected by herniated disc, spinal stenosis or spine injury. As a result of the inflammation the pain occurs and as well as the intense numbness in the affected limb.

The treatment of sciatica is also not effective, namely for many years, doctors have been looking for the proper treatment of sciatica, but there is still not a treatment with 100% efficacy. For mild cases of sciatica patients use anti-inflammatory drugs and analgesics due to which the pain disappears after a few days or weeks. In the case of chronic sciatica, the common doctor’s recommendation is surgery.

Fortunately, there is a natural solution thus preventing all these evasive treatments, and that is the consumption of garlic milk.

The recipe for this remedy comes from the ancient Indian medicine called Ayurveda, and has been shown to be very effective when back pain is concerned. It is based on two ingredients that show beneficial properties when this remedy is concerned.

The Benefits of Garlic

Garlic shows positive effects on the treatment of sciatic nerve and motor issues. Yet, the use of garlic oil should be moderate as overuse can bring more damage.

The consumption of garlic is very beneficial in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. How you are consuming garlic is very important, especially if you want to reap all its benefits. As per a released study in the Agriculture and Agri-Food newspaper garlic should not be cooked more than 3 min and while cooking it make sure to use whole cloves, and not ground. Avoid the use of microwave because all the benefits of garlic will be gone.

The Benefits of Milk

Milk is a product consumed by humans for ages. It is packed with valuable nutrients like calcium vital for keeping the good health of the bones. Plus, it has B vitamins, potassium, phosphorus and a protein known as lactoferrin. According to a conducted study in 2010 this protein is a natural long-lasting painkiller. It is a great anti-inflammatory agent that can lower back issues. The use of milk in this remedy neutralizes the scent of the garlic.

Extremely beneficial milks for back pain are: goat milk, vegetable milks such as coconut and almond, then date or hazelnut. The goat milk shows powerful antioxidant properties and the dried date milk contains many pro-biotics.
