Your house will always smell good if you follow these steps:

  • Good Airing

This is really essential for a home having a nice smell. For instance, you can leave some windows open during the whole night when the air is cleaner, and they can stay slightly open for most of the day.

  • Regular cleaning

You should maintain a clean household, and for that purpose clean it at least once per week.

  • Clean laundry

All clothes need to be clean no matter if they are in the closet or not. Avoid storing half-dirty clothes in your closets. Here it is how you can keep the laundry:

If they are still not for washing, put them on a chair or coat rack while waiting, but do not leave them for long, or you can simply wash them on the delicate / light cycle.

Even though the dirty laundry is put in a special basket it should not stay unwashed for a longer period of time.

The bed linen needs to be changed on regular basis like once per week. Each piece of clothing and as well of fabric needs to be clean. If they are not clean enough wash them again.

  • Remove things or objects from your home that have unpleasant odor

This specifically refers to the smelly shoes. You should find a place where to keep them, preferably outside, and if that is not possible clean them nicely inside and outside, including the soles.

Avoid walking in your home with dirty shoes, but make sure to put on clean slippers which also need to be washed on regular basis.

Foods can as well as smell bad, especially if left behind on the table. This also applies for leaving dirty dishes which can produce foul odor.

While cooking close the kitchen door, and thus prevent the smell to get distributed to the other rooms as well. After you have finished with the cooking ventilate it nicely, and then open the kitchen door. If your kitchen is an open area with the living room, make sure to turn on the hood when cooking.

If you have pretty old objects in your home that produce bad smell, remove them especially if they cannot get cleaned.

  • Put objects in your home that smell good like for instance lemon tree, flowers, and so on.
  • Maintain a good body hygiene

This is also very important, therefore take regular showers and wash your hair before it turns too oily and smelly.
